Alfalfa: Making Men Fertile!

Alfalfa: Making Men Fertile!

Infertility isn’t just a woman’s issue—40-50% of infertility cases are due to male factors. A recent double-blind study investigated whether alfalfa seeds, used in traditional Persian medicine to enhance male fertility, could help improve sperm quality.

Sixty infertile men were given either 100 IU of vitamin E plus a placebo or 100 IU of vitamin E with 6g of alfalfa seed powder daily for 12 weeks. The men taking the alfalfa saw significant improvements in sperm count, shape, and movement compared to the placebo group. In fact, four pregnancies occurred in the alfalfa group, while none were reported in the placebo group.

This study offers hope for men struggling with infertility by showing that alfalfa seeds, a safe and affordable supplement, can enhance sperm count and quality.
